The historic brand Paradisoterrestre continues the rediscovery of the figure of Roberto Matta in the design world alongside Dino Gavina, thanks to the collaboration with Alisée Matta. On the occasion of Milano Design Week 2019, Paradisoterrestre presents a preview of the re-edition of Malitte, designed by the multifaceted artist for the Bolognese entrepreneur in the mid-Sixties.
Malitte is a seating system, an ever-changing composition of five polyurethane blocks covered in a slightly elastic fabric. A playful collection of colored interlocking organic shapes that can be assembled into a single sculpture, a “wall” dividing the environment with its formal and conceptual presence, which, when necessary, can instantly become a complete living room: a two-seater sofa, three seats and a pouf.
So iconic as to be included in the permanent collection of MoMA – the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, in Paradisoterrestre re-edition Malitte returns to be the protagonist of the contemporary living. For Fuorisalone 2019 Amen showroom in Porta Venezia will be transformed into a cozy timeless lounge, a time bubble in which to relax and have fun taking advantage of the endless possibilities offered by Malitte seating system, which will make us living in an indefinite era from the 1960s to the present day.
